Getting started as an Ocean Optics Star Partner is simple. First, the prospective OEM obtains an evaluation unit at retail price to determine technical feasibility of the system. Then, upon completion of the successful evaluation, the prospective OEM purchases an OEM Developer's Agreement for $999. This agreement recognizes your company as an OEM Developer entitled to numerous benefits, including:

Global pricing, with no hidden mark-ups for overseas OEMs

Once the OEM's product development cycle is complete, sizeable savings on OEM spectrometer boards and other components are granted. Future pricing is discounted according to the OEM's yearly projected volume. Ocean Optics will request monthly or quarterly order volume updates to ensure that the OEM's production needs are met, and to manage our parts inventory accordingly.

Please note: If OEM order volumes exceed projected quantities, Ocean Optics will credit the OEM at a higher-volume discount rate. If volumes fall below projections, Ocean Optics reserves the right to charge for the difference between the initial discount granted and the discount applicable to the actual volume purchased.
