SAS OEM Spectrometer Module
With just a 1.75" x 1.5" x 1.0" footprint, the SAS provides full spectral analysis with an unprecedented optical resolution of ~1.0 nm (FWHM) for a spectrometer of this size. The SAS can only be used for high light-level laser applications in the Visible wavelength range. For other applications, consider our USB2000 Spectrometer or contact one of our Applications Scientists at Info@OceanOptics.com. The grating-based SAS optical bench can be equipped with either a 256- or 1024-element linear CMOS detector. The SAS-series OEM Spectrometer Modules are designed specifically for the OEM. A detailed OEM Developer's Kit is $2,499, which includes access to Ocean Optics' proprietary technical information about the spectrometer, pinouts and connection information, wiring diagrams and register maps. Also included in the price of the OEM Developers Kit are a Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 device driver and software application, complete source code to the driver and software application and documentation for both. After the initial $2,499 cost for the kit, OEMs then pay $499 for each spectrometer, in quantities of 24. The SAS-series OEM Spectrometer Modules interface to desktop, notebook, and palm-sized PCs via a serial port, as well as to PLCs and other devices that support the RS-232 communication protocol. What's more, a USB port is available for additional interface options. When interfaced to a notebook PC via the USB port, no external power supply is required. Because the SAS-series OEM Spectrometer Modules are OEM-specific products, they are manufactured to order. These spectrometers are not off-the-shelf instruments.
