Senior Electrical Engineer
required to design and develop a broad array of optoelectronic
products for use in fiber optic spectroscopy applications. Product
designs involve the combination of optoelectronics, analog & digital
design for interfacing to PC’s via USB, PCI, Ethernet and other
common protocols.
Key Experience/Capabilities
Optoelectronics
Familiarity with optical sources
(lasers, LEDs, etc) and their drive circuits
Experience with single and
multi-element detectors (i.e. PIN & CCD’s) and their readout
circuits
Digital Design
FPGA design, synthesis &
implementation. Xilinx experience preferred
Moderate bandwidth & size
(~50MHz & ~500K gate parts)
Interfacing FPGA to standard
peripherals and microcontrollers
Embedded programming experience
for 8 & 16 bit microcontrollers
Analog Design
Experience with signal
conditioning of moderate bandwidth analog signals (<10MHz)
A/D Converter Implementation:
12-16 bit ADC’s 1-10MHz.
Power Supply design to support
analog & digital circuitry
Experience with low noise &
moderate bandwidth PCB layout & implementation
Knowledge of hardware interface
methods employed in PC’s is a plus |
