Shipping - Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
Effective October 10, 2011, Ocean Optics pledges next day shipment
of all orders received and booked – without hold, credit approval or
other business qualifiers pending – by 4 p.m. (ET) weekdays for
qualifying products. A complete list of products is available upon
request.
Customers
This commitment extends to non-OEM customers and to those not
already party to a shipping agreement. Distributor partners should
consult their Ocean Optics representative for details on how this
commitment affects them.
Next Day Shipping Service
All qualifying orders received before 4 p.m. (ET) Monday thru Friday
will be shipped by the next business day from Ocean Optics USA
directly to customers anywhere in the world. International shipping
rates and fees apply. The commitment does not apply to orders
shipped from Ocean Optics regional offices outside the U.S. or to
orders processed through Ocean Optics distributors or agents.
Orders are considered booked when fully processed into the Ocean
Optics business system. This means all the necessary shipping
information, credit approval or other applicable documentation is
accounted for.
This pledge refers to Ocean Optics’ commitment to ship next day and
not to the shipping method itself.
Orders are shipped UPS Ground unless otherwise specified. Customers
may reverse shipping charges to the carrier of their choice.
Qualifying Products
Qualifying products include customer-configured USB2000+, USB4000,
QE65000, HR2000+, HR4000, most NIRQuest models, Jaz (4-channel or fewer) and Maya2000 Pro spectrometers and
over 500 preconfigured spectrometers, standard fibers and
accessories.
Excluded products are LIBS units, STS Microspectrometers, SIR
Spectrometers, Jaz configurations with five or more channels, USB-TC
temperature controller, deep well detector units, custom fiber
products, Sensor Group products, OEM products, some reseller items
and development products. Also excluded are orders requiring custom
engineering and orders with six or more spectrometers.
If Ocean Optics Misses the Ship Date
Should Ocean Optics fail to ship next day for qualifying products,
customers are entitled to one of these remedies:
1)
a 15% discount on the affected order or
2)
15% of the value of the affected order toward the new purchase --
within six months of the original order -- of additional qualifying
Ocean Optics products.
Customers will be notified of these options and asked to respond
within 10 business days with their preference. This discount is void
after six months from the date of the original order and applies to
the price of the merchandise only. The combination of credit
adjustments awarded for missing the shipment commitment and for
return of merchandise cannot exceed the price of the original order.
Additional Terms and Conditions
All prices are subject to change without notice. Ocean Optics
reserves the right to alter or terminate the terms of this
commitment at any time, without notice. All other applicable terms
and conditions are still in effect.
