Data Acquisition
All Ocean Optics spectrometers interface to a PC via an analog-to-digital
(A/D) converter. Typically, A/D converter selection depends on the converter's
performance characteristics (i.e., the greater the sampling frequency, the
faster the spectrometer integration time that can be achieved), as well as
the spectrometer platform and operating software required for the
application.

Ocean Optics offers
a comprehensive library of data acquisition and display software products
for a variety of spectroscopic applications. Unless otherwise indicated,
all Windows-based software supports Windows
95/98/Me/XP and Windows NT/2000. Palm-SPEC products support Windows CE 2.11
for palm-size PCs and Windows CE 3.0 for palm-size PCs (pocket PC)
utilizing a MIPS or SH3 processor. Custom software development services
are also available. For more information, contact an
