Tungsten Halogen Light Sources
The HL-2000 Tungsten Halogen Light
Sources are versatile lamps optimized for the VIS-NIR (360
nm-2000 nm). The lamps feature adjustable focusing of the SMA 905 Connector to maximize light coupling into a fiber. A fan keeps the light sources cool and stable. A built-in filter slot accepts optical filters up to 25.4-mm round or up to 50.8-mm square and up to 3 mm thick. All HL-2000 Light Sources come with an efficient regulated power supply.

The HL-2000,
available for $750, comes with a 1,500-hour bulb, and a long-life (10,000-hour) version is also available. Additional
HL-2000 models are also available.
Shutter Option
A manual and TTL shutter on the HL-2000-FHSA version of the HL-2000 allows you to attenuate the intensity of the light source.
High-power Version
For applications requiring large-diameter optical fibers or fiber and probe bundles, a special high-power version of the HL-2000 is available. The bulb used in the HL-2000-HP is a 20-watt bulb. In addition, you can opt to control the intensity of the HL-2000-HP via an RS-232 module. This option allows you to control the intensity from 0-100%, as well as to control the shutter.
