Longpass Flow Cell
LPC Longpass Flow Cells couple to
Ocean Optics high-sensitivity fiber optic spectrometers and compact light
sources for simple, efficient measurement of low-volume or
low-concentration aqueous samples.
Features
-
Multiple pathlength options --
pathlengths range from 50-500 cm
-
Small internal sample volume -- as
low as 125 µL
-
Easy to use -- inject sample with a syringe or connect to a pump
LPC Longpass Flow Cells use a capillary tube as both the sample compartment and the waveguide for light. The sample is introduced with a syringe or a pump into the fluidic ports mounted on the face panel. Optical fibers connect to SMA 905 fittings to deliver and return light to a spectrometer.
The LPC Flow Cells are available in 50,
100, 250 and 500 cm pathlengths. Internal sample volumes range from
125-1,250 µl,
respectively. Cells are optimized for UV-VIS response.
All LPC Flow Cells couple easily via SMA 905
terminations to Ocean Optics fiber optic
spectrometers and accessories.

Technical Tip
For UV applications
-- especially <275 nm -- we recommend using the shortest possible
length of LPC Flow Cell tubing, as most fluids will absorb UV energy.
However, for UV applications between 275-360 nm, it is possible to use the
standard 100 cm flow cell with a UV-Vis spectrometer and
deuterium-tungsten halogen light source configuration, and still get good results.
