Ocean Optics - Inventor of the World's First Miniature Spectrometer

The SpectroClip Probe

The new SpectroClip is the perfect probe for measuring thin materials and other samples in the field.

It allows you to easily measure transmission, reflection and absorption characteristics of materials with a maximum thickness of 5 mm.

Specially designed integrating spheres function as SpectroClip's collection probes. They can be connected to any Ocean Optics spectrometer for acquiring data. The top integrating sphere also includes an input port for a fiber-coupled light source to illuminate your sample.

SpectroClip can support wavelength ranges from 200-2500 nm -- depending on which light source or spectrometer you use. The active illuminated area is 5 mm. SpectroClip's integrating spheres capture diffuse reflected or transmitted light more efficiently than lens-based collection optics.

Which SpectroClip Suits You?

SpectroClip-R Includes one integrating sphere to collected reflected light from your sample.

SpectroClip-TR includes two integrating spheres that collect both transmitted light through your sample and reflected light from the sample.

Jaz-SpectroClip-TR is the ready-to-go solution for performing transmission and reflectance characterization of diffuse (thin) samples in the field. Combined with a Jaz spectrometer (400-1000 nm), 2 spectrometer channels, a tungsten halogen light source and battery module.
