Components for Spectroradiometric Systems
Ocean
Optics offers a large selection of modular components that can be
configured easily into low-cost spectroradiometric systems for measuring
the absolute or relative irradiance of LEDs, flat panel displays and other
radiant sources.

A sample LED analysis setup using the USB4000, a FOIS-1
Integrating sphere, an LED-PS LED Power Supply and a P400-2-VIS-NIR
optical fiber assembly.

USB4000 Fiber Optic Spectrometer
Our
USB4000 Spectrometer can be optimized for LED measurements from 350-1000
nm. Specify a
25 µm entrance aperture
and an L2 Collection Lens to increase light collection efficiency.

LED Power Supply
The LED-PS Power Supply
provides three useful functions: holding the LED in place, powering the
LED and displaying the LED's drive current. Use the adjustable drive
current feature to increase or decrease and LED's current up to 50 mA. The
LED-PS-NIST is a NIST-traceable version.

Integrating Sphere for 360° Emission Collection
Powered by the LED-PS Power
Supply, the LED is inserted into the 9.5-mm diameter port of the FOIS-1
Fiber Optic Integrating Sphere, which has a 360° field of view. A
P400-2-VIS-NIR Optical Fiber collects the light from the FOIS-1 and
delivers it to the USB4000 Spectrometer.
FOIS-1: $646

Radiometric Reference Sources
The LS1-CAL-INT is a NIST-traceable
light source designed specifically to calibrate the spectral response of a
spectroradiometric system that uses the FOIS-1 as a sampling device. It
provides known absolute intensity values at several wavelengths. The LS-1
is used as a reference for relative power measurements.

Cosine Correctors
Our Cosine Correctors collect radiation
with a 180° field of view. When used in a fiber coupled to a spectrometer,
they measure light intensity at the surface of the probe.
CC-3-DA: $346

Calibration Services
We offer in-house calibration services for Ocean Optics Spectrometers. Our
SPEC-CAL-UV Service (200-400 nm) or our SPEC-CAL-VIS Service
(300-1050 nm) is available for
$599
per channel. Calibration is valid for
one year provided the system's optical fiber is not removed from the
setup. A SLIT-25 or greater is required.
