Bifurcated optical fiber assemblies consist of two fibers at the common end, which then split into two separate legs. The type of fiber used in each leg, which determines its most efficient transmission range, can be identical or different based on the requirements of your application.
Bifurcated fibers are good for routing equal amounts of light from a single source to two different locations, or from a single sample to two spectrometers configured for different wavelength ranges.
Visible-NIR bifurcated fibers are low OH fibers that transmit efficiently from 400-2100 nm.
